VersaTitle Services, Ltd. is a locally owned and operated title abstract company. We have been in the business of title evidencing since 1993, originally operating as Franco Research Associates. We have provided over 100 title companies, attorneys and government agencies with reliable title abstracts in over 30 counties in the state of Ohio. Our reputation for providing top-quality service and reliable products is among the best in the business.
In 1997, Robert A. Franco, the owner of VersaTitle, became licensed with the Ohio State Department of Insurance. In 1999 Franco Research became VersaTitle Services, Ltd. VersaTitle was founded on the principle of providing exceptional customer service by offering versatile services. We are willing to work with you to get the job done right, and on-time.
We are proud members of several professional organizations that promote high ethical and professional standards, which we are also dedicated to upholding. We are members of The The Ohio Land Title Association, and The Ohio Association of Independent Title Agents. To do our part to meet and exceed the standards of these fine organizations we regularly attend training seminars and social functions to keep current on changes that affect our industry.
About Robert A. Franco, J.D., LL.M.
Owner Robert A. Franco has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, and a Juris Doctor and Master of Laws Degree from Capital University Law School. He is a member of the Ohio Bar Association and the Richland County Bar Association. He has more than 17 years of experience in the title business and is dedicated to improving the title insurance industry.
In 2002, Attorney Franco launched Source of Title, a Web site devoted to title agents, abstractors, and others involved in the title industry. He regularly writes a blog focusing on important real estate related issues.
In 2005, Attorney Franco assisted several likeminded abstractors with the formation of the
National Association of Land Title Examiners and Abstractors (NALTEA). He was a charter-member, served on the board of directors, and was the association’s vice president.
About Mark E. Hawkins
Owner Mark E. Hawkins has been a title abstractor for more than 13 years. He has experience working on complex commercial searches and is capable of handling any title searching project. He currently manages VersaTitle’s daily searching activities.
